The storyboard I rendered through openings includes an element from each participant’s digital narrative. The storyboard opened a dialogue between participants with me. It provided a space for me to re-examine my own identities in relation to the participants, and identify commonalities that united me with them, thereby reinforcing my feelings of belonging. The key images featured in it were: (a) text (“How does a butterfly transform?”) accompanied by the image of a swimmer mid-butterfly stroke, spreading hands out wide as a symbol of growth; (b) an Aegean Airlines plane; (c) the image of Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station clock; (d) references to the Pontian Genocide; (e) Pontians fleeing their homeland; and (f) a Melbourne tram.
