<p dir="ltr">This is the dataset - for academic paper titled: Translating global emission reduction<i> </i>goals into built environment policy: An ambitious yet inadequate policy portfolio for Victoria, Australia. Published in the journal <i>Climate Policy, </i>with article doi:<i> </i>10.1080/14693062.2025.2459319</p><p dir="ltr">It presents results of the analysis of 96 built environment policy instruments across local (City of Melbourne), state (Victoria), federal (national - Australia) and international levels. It assesses the presence or absence of climate change mitigation targets and their adequacy in relation to global goals (<i>Paris Agreement </i>target of 1.5<sup>o</sup>C) and climate justice.</p>
