This
study aims to understand the experiences of people living with dementia,
their family carers, and care workers regarding home care provided through
the Australian government's Home Care Packages Program or Commonwealth Home
Support Programme. This project investigates whether upskilling home care
workers by a training program improves the experiences of people with
dementia living at home, family carers and home care workers. Outcome
measures for home care workers, family members, and people living with
dementia include quality of life, carer burden, and clinical measures,
dementia knowledge and attitudes and competence in care measures, and health
economics measures.
