The Australian Adaptation Database
The Australian Adaptation Database was developed for research purposes, to conduct a national adaptation stocktake and understand how Australia has progressed in climate change adaptation. The database collects and categorises examples of adaptation activities happening across different scales, sectors and geographic locations in Australia. The featured examples have been categorised against key criteria such as location, type of organisation implementing them and climate hazard they are responding to. The data is of interest to Australian government stakeholders who are undertaking similar work and need such information to fulfil their reporting requirements. It also provides opportunity to explore the different adaptation activities being conducted in Australia. Given the value this dataset could provide to stakeholders, it was decided that it would be shared on a publicly available website.
