During my ongoing Monday night residency at the Jazzlab in Brunswick, Melbourne, I recorded several evenings featuring a variety of ensembles between December 2018 and December 2019. Two albums, showcasing a selection of these recordings, were released in 2020. The second volume in this set captures a selection from the Solo/Duo/Trio series, celebrating collaborations between creative musicians from Melbourne’s thriving contemporary jazz community. Consisting of compositions by me, Stephen Magnusson, and Julien Wilson, the featured tracks have been selected to evoke calmness with their expansive and meditative feel.
