This presentation puts forward three policy proposals for implementation of the Nillumbik Biodiversity Strategy on public land. The policies were developed by the author and presented to the public through social media and powerpoint presentation in a format which included the rationale and potential detailed design decision making in policy implementation.

The policies proposed are: A change from permits to guidelines for nature strip planting; The introduction of a fire sensitive rural street tree planting scheme; The consideration of biodiversity in maintenance approaches.

This film format presentation was part of an exhibit entitled "Encounters with the real world: Research informed media to change hearts and minds" at the Faculty of Architecture Building and Planning of the University of Melbourne MSDx exhibition in November 2024.
