The Kamosc trio toured Europe in 2004. This recording documents their performance at Jazzgallerie in Nickelsdorf, Austria. The trio's music is based on improvisation to a great extent but also on written materials which serve as fuel, as signposts or as found objects - drawing on sources such as early jazz styles, folkish melodies and contemporary chamber music. The music of Trio Kamosc exists somewhere in between these seemingly divergent stylistic areas and draws its inspiration from their inherent contradictory aspects.

Michael Moore - clarinet, alto saxophone
Achim Kaufmann - piano
Dylan van der Schyff - drum kit

All compositions by Achim Kaufmann
Recorded live in Nickelsdorf, Austria
March 27th, 2004
Thanks to Hans Falb and the Jazzgalerie Nickelsdorf

Artwork: ‘The Couch’ by Gabriele D.R.
