Finding Immersive Realities Place

Dr. Patrick O'Shea is currently a professor of instructional technology and the Media, Technology, and Learning Design program director at Appalachian State University.  Additionally, he is an educational consultant working on Augmented Reality and Distributed Learning educational initiatives (e.g. student-authored textbooks written collaboratively with wiki technology) and the host of the Versatilist podcast (https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/versatilist) which is focused on the use of immersive technologies in educational settings. Dr. O’Shea has professional experience working with educational technology, assessment, and program evaluation. He has taught online and in face-to-face settings and consulted nationally and internationally on educational projects, including working for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Africa, research projects in Australia, the UK, Zambia, and Portugal, and he has served as a Fulbright Specialist in Sri Lanka and Austria.
