Simulations for a model of early stage wound healing. The proliferative hub region is able to grow up to five cells deep in this simulation. The mean quiescent volume fraction of the tissue is 1. The additional migratory force for cells on the wound edge is 3 kilogram cell diameters per hour. The black 'shadow' in the background shows the path of a free tissue (FT) with an applied force of 3 kilogram cell diameters per hour. The blue 'shadow' shows the outline of the corresponding simulation with no bound on proliferative hub growth (CM). The cell types are mitotic, differentiated and quiescent; denoted by M, D and Q, respectively.
