Non-linear Time: Speculative Figuring with Generative AI

These specualtive figurations of non-linear time in GIF form were made in conversation with three generative AIs - Craiyon, Deep Dream Generator and Powerpoint Design Ideas. Tangling the straight line of ‘progress’ -- oft thought to connect past, present, and future – we invite a collective reimagining of  a 'thick present'. This eighth a/r/tographic rendering generatively expands ‘Contiguity, Living inquiry, Openings, Metaphor/metonymy, Reverberation and resonance, Excess and absence, Gaze’ (Coleman, 2017) to include non-linear time.
