This professional learning invites educators to engage in deep, critical reflection on their practice by creating a space for open dialogue and pedagogical inquiry. Grounded in relational, child-centred approaches, the experience supports educators to:
Engage in collaborative conversations that critically examine educational practice and purpose.
Expand opportunities for children to take the lead in their learning journeys.
Recognise and respond to children’s interests, capacities, and ways of knowing.
Strengthen student voice and participation through responsive, dialogic pedagogies.
Reimagine the classroom as a porous and dynamic space where the world beyond its walls becomes part of the curriculum.
This resource is an outcome from three year collaboration between Catholic Education South Australia and a research team (Cooper, Yelland & Iorio) at the University of Melbourne. An outcome that is professional learning for all teachers at CESA across South Australia exploring approaches to pedagogies of connection, responsiveness, and ethical inquiry.
