Mozilla Hubs Screen Recording: CLIMATE ART AND DIGITAL ACTIVISMS METAVERSE
As a response to the events and presentations at the Festival, Dr Neda Sajadi built a virtual gallery as a teaching space in Mozilla Hubs. This space exists as an ongoing exhibition which allows modifications as the project expands. This space enables interaction via avatars, where viewers can engage with the artworks as they share their ideas with one another and add on the works which are present in the space. In this virtual exhibition space, viewers can access the drawings made by another artist in resident, Cassie Truong. Through these drawings Cassie attempts to capture in real time an essence of the speaker to depict the person behind the theories, thoughts and words. In a reactive and reflexive action, Cassie listens for moments of powerful speech all the while waiting to examine a key position or repetitive pose which the speaker takes. These drawings are currently being compiled through a reflective process of collage into an artist book to act as a photo-album or scrapbook may in an effort to record and memorialise an event.
