This is a list of terms used to search the Copyright Office Catalog to compile data for the paper Yuvaraj, J., Giblin, R., Russo-Batterham, D., and Grant, G., 'U.S. Copyright Termination Notices 1977-2020: Introducing New Datasets' (forthcoming in the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies)

The terms are split into columns according to the labels used on the Copyright Office Catalog.

Certain terms are searched with year and other phrase filters because the Catalog (at the time) had a 10,000 result limit. This meant additional filters were needed to ensure every set of search results was under 10,000 in size.

For more information about the search terms please contact the corresponding author at joshua.yuvaraj@unimelb.edu.au.
