Kate’s 3 minute research pitch will highlight relational creative a/r/tographic methods and use examples of speculative collaborative inter/transdisciplinary research. A/r/tographic research develops participants languages and literacies to be agents of change by creating the conditions for developing life-wide preparedness; intellectual and creative development in Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) and Science Technology Engineering Maths and Medicine (STEMM); personal and professional identity formation; and socialisation in HASS and STEMM communications. As Braidotti (2020) reminds me, “Do not imagine for a minute that you can take on this system alone” (p. 49).To be agents of change and activists for our futures, we have a need for educational research that is located in creative ecologies while encouraging partnerships that curious through visual arts and design strategies and resources that are speculative, playful, risky, motivating, respectful, self-paced and social.
