<p dir="ltr">This poster sets out the potential benefits and uses of trees in free range settings for poultry.</p><p dir="ltr">The poster looks at:</p><ul><li>The architectural elements of trees that can be used to provide benefits to free range poultry (ie spatial structure, vertical barriers, overhead cover) </li><li>On site practices using trees in the authors own free range poultry space to increase - biomass, soil health, and microfauna biodiversity for increased poultry welfare.</li><li>Mutuality where poultry care (watering etc) and sustainable manure/litter management benefit tree health.</li><li>A number of studies into the benefits of the services provided by trees such as structure shade and forage</li><li>A number of studies that demonstrate increased use of the range by poultry where tree and shrub cover is available</li></ul><p></p>
