Title: Vegetation Segmentation using Mobile Laser Scanning and Deep Learning

Deep learning (DL) models combined with Mobile Laser Scanning (MLS) datasets, hold immense potential for green infrastructure mapping and monitoring. However, inconsistent behaviour and limited accuracies demonstrated by generic DL models pose significant challenges.

To address this problem, this thesis will contribute a novel DL model for vegetation segmentation from MLS delivering state-of-the-art accuracies with robustness across datasets. Further, the model will be computationally efficient.
