My research work involves in vivo non-invasive experimental methods using mobile biplane X-ray (MoBiX) imaging system combined with Statistical Shape Modelling (SSM) technique, for providing deeper insight into the knee joint morphology and its biomechanics, during locomotion, in populations with different levels of activity and knee conditions. Specifically, the contribution of my PhD project lies in the identification and quantification of the biomechanical and structural profile changes that might occur in knee structure of an athletic population and people following ACLR surgery. This research work would have implications for the clinical understanding of knee mechanics during activities of daily living.
