<p dir="ltr">Have you ever thought...<br>Who gets to decide what “Good Life” means to people?</p><p><br></p><p dir="ltr">Some may think that a good life means to be better in every aspect of their lives</p><p dir="ltr">But that’s not the case with Dayak Ngaju indigenous people from Central Kalimantan.</p><p dir="ltr">They went through decades of devastating environmental damages, marginalisation, and loss of livelihoods.</p><p dir="ltr">They’ve watched aids projects come and go to restore the environment, often designed <i>for</i> them, but rarely <i>with</i> them.</p><p dir="ltr">All because they never asked:<br>What does a good life mean to Dayak Ngaju people?</p><p dir="ltr">My research will examine how gender, power, and national history shape the Dayak Ngaju people as they are today</p><p dir="ltr">With project document and news media analysis, I will trace whose voices shaped the narratives in Central Kalimantan—and whose were left out.</p><p dir="ltr">Because narratives and representations matter, especially in shaping a good life for Dayak Ngaju people .<br><br><br><br>A Dayak Ngaju noun is used at the end of the main video "<i>Pambelum Bahalap</i>", which translates to "good life"</p>
