repliCATS in the Classroom: Improving Critical Thinking via a Structured Deliberation Process

<p dir="ltr">We used the repliCATS exercise (developed in response to the replication crisis in Psychology) to have students practice their critical thinking skills. The repliCATS exercise uses a structured deliberation protocol named IDEA to predict research replication outcomes, and leverages “Wisdom of the crowd” effects by mitigating individual (i.e. overconfidence) and social biases (i.e. loud voices dominating).</p>
