Abstract: The development of technology-enhanced learning (TEL) had a heightened call to the attention of pedagogical design in response to COVID-19. This includes health education where there is an invested interest in alternatives for authentic learning and the development of critical thinking skills, especially with limited availability of clinical placements.
Using an educational design research approach, this PhD project focus on how mobile mixed reality facilitates critical thinking skills in health education. This presentation will highlight some preliminary findings, along with insights into some provisional design principles for practice.
