Drawing on data from surveys and focus groups this pilot project engages three participant groups (people living with asthma, building and property professionals and health care providers) to describe housing characteristics that impact asthma, barriers to remediation and resources needed to identify triggers. It also offers insight into how housing environments are accounted for during asthma diagnosis in clinical settings and identifies how asthma and other health risks in the home are understood and addressed in design, maintenance, evaluation and management of homes.
