This guide is the culmination of a 5-year Australian Research Council Discovery project that involved a broad range of research methods including:
process mapping
in-depth interviews with 111 built environment professionals across a range of built environment sectors, including design (architecture, landscape architecture, urban design), urban planning, and sustainability - building on work chief investigators already conducted in property and construction
policy mapping; and
policy evaluation
This guide was developed to assist built environment professionals and policy makers implement climate change action necessary to limit global warming to 1.5oC above pre-industrial levels, and to ensure cities are well adapted to the anticipated climate change. It identifies:
