This publication is a new original work for Trumpet (doubling on Flugel Horn), trombone and electronic guitar, commissioned by Ensemble Three. This work is a dramatic re-writing of a much earlier solo guitar work that I wrote during my Doctorate. It features a very active electric guitar part, around which the trumpet/flugel horn and trombone hover. I was a little alarmed at first when I started writing this piece, due to the unusual instrumentation of Ensemble Three, however it quickly became clear that this stunning group of musicians functioned as such a clear and communicative unit, and I became alot more confident that they would be able to assemble the unusual Hendrix-esk thing that I wrote.
