This short video corresponds with the HAK.io Walking Method card, played during Carbon Mediator training at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) in Bengaluru, 2023. This video shows how SWISP Lab created their own walking and video protocol in order to document the HAK.io Walking Method of Carbon Mediator, Puja.

What was the SWISP Lab protocol?

  1. Record a series of 10 second videos of Puja on their data mapping walk
  2. Start a new video every time something new happened (e.g., Puja started drawing, Puja changed directions)
  3. Import video clips into iMovie, splice together and review
  4. Oops ... they were too long and boring! Adjust the protocol by shortening the videos
  5. Splice together shorter 3 second videos and review
  6. Add beginning and end screens
